If the gate itself moves freely by hand but the opener won't drive it, the problem is in the operator, its power, its controls, or its board. A completely dead operator and one that hums without moving point to different faults.
Check that the operator has power and reset the breaker or GFCI once. If it is on battery back-up, a dead battery will stop it during an outage. Beyond that, capacitor, board, and motor faults need testing with a meter, that is where we come in.
Our technician confirms the cause on-site, quotes the repair upfront, and fixes it — then tests the gate (and, on automated gates, its safety reversing) before leaving. Serving Burlington and the surrounding Halton and Hamilton area.
We diagnose the real cause and quote before we start. No surprises.
